Obituary of Yvonne C Lindsey

We lost our mother, Yvonne Lindsey Campos on June 4, 2022.  She unfortunately battled multiple medical issues over the last 5+ months, that sadly caused her passing. She left her home on 12/20/21 and spent months in either the hospital or rehabilitation centers.  The last 2 months of her life, we brought her home to be with family under Hospice Home care, where she was surrounded by all of her family.

Yvonne was born in Mexico City and is survived by a very large loving family including her children, Silvia, Monica, Charles, Alex & Ricky.  Her first most loved daughter, Gabriella, passed in Aug of 2020.  She was also a grandmother to 10 grandchildren and great grandmother to 5 grandchildren.  She was very much looking forward to the birth of 2 more great grand baby girls due in July, 2022.  Additionally she will be missed by her very large extended family in Mexico City, which she was very close to and loved her very much.

Yvonne married her husband Charles Lindsey at the very young age of 17.  She left Mexico City to Fairfield California with her husband who joined the USAF.  She spoke no English at the time, but learned to speak it well with a very charming accent.  As a military wife and mom, she uplifted her family for each of her husband’s assignments in the USA or overseas to Italy and Spain.  She loved living overseas and traveling within Europe while there.

She very much enjoyed traveling and had the good fortune to have done so to many places.

Yvonne loved music. You’d frequently find her listening to her romantic latin music.  She loved to dance in her youth, and entertain family & friends.

She was a primarily a wonderful homemaker raising 6 children.  She attended Community College where she earned her AA degree.

Please join us in celebrating Yvonne’s life on June 13, 2022, for a Mass in her honor at St Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00AM.  11001 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85028.  The burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N Cave Creek Rd.Phoenix, AZ 85024.
